Back to Cafe Hopping

The first cafe that we visited in 2016 is Tiong Bahru Bakery! YAY! It's been a long time since we travelled around Singapore to find cafe and hang out, thus we decided to head down to this cafe yesterday! But first thing first, we filmed another challenge video that some people have requested and it will be coming out soon! So, stay tune!!

After an hour or so of filming, we packed up and went to the cafe! There were a lot of people as it was lunch break, however we found a place to sit outside. The interior design of the cafe is super beautiful, but I didn't get the chance to snap a picture of it :( Thus, you should go there and see it yourself! We ordered quite a few things and the total cost was $25.50.

At the most bottom, it is the Rolling dumpling savoury croissant. $4.50

The croissant and the sauce are da bomb. Xue Li and I were suggesting that if they could change the curry bun to the croissant instead because we think it will be a perfect match haha.

The portion was quite big and love the light curry flavour and the chicken was super tender. However, I did not really like the taste of the sauce.

Lemon Tart. $6.50

 The lemon taste gets stronger as you eat it and the tart was really good, but Xue Li did not like it.

When life gives you lemon, eat a lemon tart. ;) HAHA.

I also ordered Earl Grey Lavender tea for $5.50 and I had a super full lunch yesterday.

Love the surroundings of the cafe as it is a good place to take pictures.

After lunch, it rained heavily, hence we sat at the cafe to wait for the rain to stop. As time passed, it was only drizzling but, as we walked out, it started raining cats and dogs again. -_- We rushed to the nearest bus stop and took a bus back to the MRT station.

Then, we went all the way back to JE as Xue Li had to get her school supplies, and I wanted to shop to get new clothes! We went to Cotton On and I bought a comfy long pants for $20! Xue Li also bought a new pencil case and a chocker at H&M for $8.80 in total. Afterwards, we just went back home and rested! It was definitely a fruitful day and I am happy that I got a pants although it is quite expensive :') Thank you for reading! Love, Ngiam.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! :)) I'm 17 already omg old af. :< & yasss, my birthday was yesterday, 17 Jan. #17on17 I was super super shocked and blessed because my bffs surprised me by coming to my house to celebrate my birthday :O I totally did not expect that and I was looking horrible with the bun (as I was chilling at home) hahah. They made a really huge board with photos of me with them and my unglams, and written some messages/wishes on the heart shaped paper! & THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH FOR THE BIRTHDAY CAKE! Although the cake was quite creamy, but it was the sincerity and effort that counts! <3 CONTENTED AF. I LOVE YOU GIRLS :* and thanks to those who texted me and gave me ang pao. :D

I REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS BOARD, however it's too big omg..

We talked for quite a while about life and school, and also brainwashed one another to go to one another's course etc HAHA. JOKE AF & Xue Li was so emotionally that she literally CRIED. After my bffs left, I washed up and got ready to go out with my family.

My sister and I got the same pair of sports shoes for school. It is the Nike Free 5.0 and it costed $179 before a 15% discount. The sad thing was that I initially wanted another pair which is a pink one, however it did not have my size. Thus, I got this pair as it fitted me, BUT I got the man's size instead HAHAH. TALL PEOPLE = LONG FEET #BEINGTALLPROBLEMS I love how this sport shoes is super light and comfortable to wear.

Then, we shopped around and I was feeling hungry, so we decided to head to Thai Express to have our dinner yay! Sissy ordered the Avocado Milkshake and it was so DELICIOUS!! It has this creamy and sweet taste which I really like.

Massaman Chicken Curry with Thai-style pancake. 

If you did not already know, I love spicy food, thus the curry was really sweet to me, but it went super well with the pancake.

Dad also ordered two sets of meal with included rice, tom yum soup, chicken wings, sweet & sour fish, vegetables and also dessert. I like how Thai food is full of different flavours but my sister's tastebud was confused after the meal hahah.

Grandma and sister did not like the dessert because the coconut taste was too strong for them.

After a heavy dinner, we were tired and went back home to rest before cutting another birthday cake. And guess what?!? I bought the same cake again (since birth to be exact) YES! Blackforest cake is LIFE. We sang birthday songs twice as it was my birthday yesterday and it's my mother's birthday today <3

And that's all for my birthday celebration yesterday. It was the best birthday ever for now I guess? because I was able to celebrate it with the people I love the most in my life. THANK YOU MY BFFs AND FAMILY <3 LOVE YALL.

18 JAN - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MUMMY!!! <3 My mother took a leave today, thus I hanged out with her and we visited quite a few places. First, we went to Jurong East to shop and eat. We ate Bak Chor Mee Pok (Minced meat noodle) and this costed $5 and it has egg inside. like wud? weird but it tasted great so who cares.

Afterwards we travelled all the way to CCK to continue our shopping trip and then to Woodlands. We wanted to wait for my sister after her school, however she already took the train back. Hence, my mother and I headed to JE to meet up with her.

We decided to have some desserts at Ji De Chi and we bought two shaved ice which is $5.50 each. They tasted good as always yumz, just that the coffee one is quite bitter, while the mango one is really refreshing.

This is the end of the birthday celebrations in just 2 consecutive days! I hope my mother enjoyed her day out with me and also I wish that she will be happy and healthy! :3 & omg this is my 50th blogpost of this little space that I created HAHA. Thank you guys for reading! Love, Ngiam. *.*

Chalet'16

"When it hurts to look back, and you're afraid to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there."

DAY 1

Hellooooo!!! Sorry for not updating this space for awhile because I was super lazy! Anyway, I went to chalet with my primary school bff on 6 Jan 2016 to 8 Jan 2016! It was a fun trip although things did not went that well as planned HAHA!! However, we just went with the flow. So, we met up at 11.30am at Buzz and headed to Bedok Mall to have our lunch! & look at the above photo.. the amount of bags we brought OMG xD Then, we arrived at Tanah Merah for the shuttle bus to NSRCC!

Only 4 out of 6 were here because the other two went to get the food for our steamboat that night, and spot Zi Xin's cousin & his gf at the back HAHA ;) The tiring thing was that we had to help carry the other friends' bags to the chalet first!!  >.< We also told them to be ready for the shuttle bus at 2.30pm, but.. they missed it so they had to wait for the 3.30pm one. SAD.

Afterwards, they finally reached the chalet! Cheery and I aka the chefs started to make the soup base, while the others played UNO! and Yan Ci lost, thus she did a forfeit and it was super hilarious. We also made pan fried dumplings to eat first as it was still early and we had to wait for Zi Xin's cousin to be back.

At about 6.30pm we had our STEAMBOAT AHHH!!! It was my first ever steamboat that I had with my bff!! Great experience haha. Although the food we bought were quite less, but I had a scrumptious dinner. The most annoying thing was that because Pei Yi do not like cheese, hence we had to wait for her to finish before we can cook the cheese meatball!! :x

AT 8.30pm, after cleaning up the dishes, it was shower time yay! I decided to head into the shower first because I felt really disgusting and oily HAHA! It was an awesome shower and my bff were shocked that I showered way to fast. OOPS.

Had some strawberries because they are super healthy and delicious. Then, we watched Dream Makers 2 at 9pm.

& finally, it was 10.30pm & it was time for horror movies! We watched Chunky as Yan Ci bought the dvd when she was in Malaysia! Tbh, the movie wasn't as scary as I expected and Zi Xin was like the scriptwriter while we were watching the movie, and we slept at around 1.30am.

Day 2

THE ROOM WAS FREAKING MESSY.

Xue Li brought a green string as her mother suggested and we made a full use of it to hang our towels and clothes. LIFE HACK YAY!

WHY WAS ZX SITTING UP SO STRAIGHT?

We woke up quite early and were really excited for the day! We played whisper challenge first and omg Zi Xin & Cheery were so good at it while the others just created their own words. FUNNY AF. Then, we headed out to Nex to have our lunch at Eighteen Chefs! I loved the lemon tea over there, however the cheese baked rice was so cheesy that I wanted to puke. Sorry :X

After a cheesy lunch, we went to Stadium to have some games, but it was a total fail. I guess. HAHA! We were suppose to find each other within the time limit, however no one could find one another because the place is too open and big.

We played until 4pm and went back to Bedok Mall to buy ingredients for our dinner. and then some things happened which made the atmosphere a little tense. However, as we cooked & played UNO & Monopoly that night, everything was alright! YAY. We also watched Maze Runner which I find it quite boring. And we went to bed at 2.30am. We wanted to party till morning but Xue Li was too tired for it. PLAN FAILED AGAIN. :')

DAY 3

We woke up at 7.30am because we had to leave the place by 9.30am. :( Time flies sooo fast! I can't even .__. It was definitely a special moment to be able to stay with my friends. We went home safely, while Xue Li & Yan Ci decided to carry all their stuffs to TP Open House. IDEKY.

Hence, this concludes my Chalet 2016! Hope you guys like the photos and this blogpost! See ya soon! Anyway, I also got back my O'Level results! I think I did the same as prelim, but I guess the bell curve helped me too! I just wish that my school life in 2016 will be better than my sec school one bleh! :b BYE! Love, Ngiam. xoxo.
