Singapore Zoo | Kara Cafe

Finally hanging out 1-1 with my home girl after 123456 days HAHA. Always enjoy her quiet and fun company whenever we are together hehe. :D We took a super long bus ride from CCK to the Singapore Zoo and I almost puke because I was having a really bad motion sickness. :<

We decided to visit the zoo as Xue Li wanted to go and since it was Xue Li’s birthday week, there is an special free admission for her if she went with a paying guest thus we got to save some money!!

Did not managed to see lots of animals yesterday but at least we saw some cute kangaroos :>

HAPPY BELATED NINETEEN BIRTHDAY BAE! I HOPE YOU HAD A SUPER CRAZY DAY AND NIGHT WITH ME AND THE GIRLS! THANKFUL FOR YOUR LOVE AND EXISTENCE FOR SUCH A LONG TIME ALREADY.

Watched the elephants show and they were huge af!!

Fragile forest was the most scary exhibition to go because there were a lot of loud bird sounds and the animals kept on coming out without any notice that made us shout like some insane girls. :’)

Hope you are in a much better place Inuka <3

After visiting the Zoo, we headed to Kara Cafe for a surprise that me and the other girls planned out for Xue Li. When we walked into the Cafe, she was still clueless and was just finding a place to settle down. However, I slowly brought her to the place where the others were sitting and then they started singing birthday song for her. HAHA. She was super shocked and happy :)) Glad that she liked the surprise, cards and cake.

Cafe’s food were alright and my favourites were the salmon with fried kimchi rice and the Japanese grain bowl with tempura kimchi fish! The place was really cosy but we were to noisy that the staffs kept staring at us (must be judging how bimbo we are but who cares :B)

My favourite dessert!! The matcha mochi waffle was da BOMBBBB because they were s chewy and delicious.

The s’mores one was too sweet for our liking :<

Ended 11 May with a blast because of them. THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!! XOXO Love, Ngiam. :)

Goodbye Dayre?

It has been one week into April and I’m so sad that Dayre has officially closed down yesterday (I guess?!? because I can’t seem to update any post and visit the website already.) It was such a sudden although they did announce that Dayre will be closing down but still they could have set a date to inform us again since they kept on postponing the closing of it. :(  Thus, I think I’m back at blogging here again hehe. Just a small rant today haha. Thanks for reading. Love, Ngiam. :)

update: dayre is back again!? WHUT. i'm able to log in to my dayre account again.. This is so confusingggg!! but glad that I'm can use it hehe.

Updates!

Hello! I am here to blog about my highlights for the past few months after 2018 has officially started. Most of my updates here can be read from my dayre if you follow me on there. I am blogging here again as dayre will be closing down anytime so I need a backup to keep my memories hehe.

January.

Celebrated my 19th birthday with my family and we had steamboat (no bbq :<) for dinner :)

Spot my all time favourite birthday cake (black forest)!! I have been eating this cake for my birthday since I was born HAHA & I will never get bored of it.

My primary school best friends also came to my house to surprise me with cakes and a letter awww xD I was really shocked and touched by them. Thank you for always treating me so nice since 2011. I really appreciate these girls for staying in my life even though we don’t meet that often.

Also, celebrated my belated birthday with wj and she treated me to Shi Li Fang for steamboat. (Yas, again!) Grateful for her to be the only close JC friend that is still willing to endure my nonsense after all the crazy dramas we had in school.

Celebrated my mummy’s birthday a day after my birthday as well! So coincidence or is it fate that we share birthdays a day difference. <3 We had dim sum at DTF for dinner and I finally make a birthday card with my sister for her after so long.

Whenever I see food :O

February.

Went for interview for a job but I quit after 2 weeks because tbh, the working environment sucks so badly that I feel so suffocated. Also, had a mini brunch date with yc and xl at Two Bakers. I loved the pancakes and cakes a lot :)

Headed to Ang Pao River & Gardens by the Bay with my family (except sister) to celebrate Chinese New Year. Its been a while since the last family outing so I took quite a few pictures to keep them as beautiful memories hehe.

Collected my A’level results with SH’s accompany and I think I really did quite well. (better than my expectations I would say even though my GP just passed) Thanks SH for the char siew pao treat at Tim Ho Wan (: Applied for uni and I hope I can get a place.

March.

Celebrated C’s belated birthday with the girls at Charcoal Thai. It was our first time having mookata and we ate for almost 2 hours because we were noobs HAHA. The soup was too salty and I think the food are not really tasty (first and the last time to visit that place I guess..) However, the company was awesome and I don’t know when will I meet them again. :(

Went to Wheeler’s Estate for my cousin’s wedding and the atmosphere was amazing.

I’m going to reach my dad’s height soon!!! HAHA.

selfie with sissy ^.^

That’s all for now as its only 2 weeks into March so there’s not really much to type right now. I will continue to update you guys soon! Thank you for reading. Love Ngiam!

19th.

WHAT?!? I’m going to be 19 y/o tomorrow :x that means 1 more year to my big twenty! (TIME FLIES SOOOO FAST OMG) I am really contented and happy with my life at the moment.

Thankful for those who stayed since the beginning.
Thankful for those lessons and mistakes that I have learnt.
Thankful for my family and my best friends who love me and cared for me even though I may not be the best daughter, the best sister or the best friend that they will ever have.

I am truly grateful for those people who are still here for me and for those people who were once close to me although we have become a complete stranger now :)  Thank you.

Love, Ngiam.

I will be posting there more frequently with random happenings and thoughts so head over there if you want to read them! [ https://dayre.me/ngiamkaiwen ] I will still be blogging on this platform as well but less often so don’t worry :) Have a good weekend ahead!

Thank You, 2017.

Hello 2018! It’s been more than a year since I last blogged and I realise that almost all my blog post have a few months gap in between. :x I didn’t blog last year because my schedule was really hectic with tons of examinations and school works as it was A’Level year, and I was lazy as well. 2017 was a tough year. Nevertheless, it made me learn to spend more time and effort on people who really care and love me for who I am. Indeed, everything happens for a reason.

Quote of 2017

Blessed to have such a motherly and kind teacher in my secondary school days.

15 Sep 2017
First F1 experience with Say Khong (still owe him money for the tickets oops)

The cars were going extremely fast and it was loud af.

Our main motives were actually the concerts. It was One Republic on the first day and they were really good. P.S took a lot of videos instead of pictures.

16 Sep 2017
Went to the F1 area earlier on the second day because Say Khong wanted to have a closer view for his favourite act.

First Act - Ariana Grande
Half of her performance was changing clothes ;x but her vocals was awesome.

Second Act - The Chainsmokers (SK’s bae)
They made my night high af.

29 Sep 2017
Ate at The Playground Cafe with Xue Li after school.

We also had PBJ toast at Archipelago Creamery and it was so sweet that she had to ‘vomit’ out the strawberry jam.

5 Oct 2017
Farewell Assembly at IJC.

Had lunch with them and Shi Hui finally got back from her China trip. :)

24 Nov 2017
Celebrated my youngest best friend's birthday at BoJio Cafe and we were so embarassed after being a public nuisance screaming over there.

9 Dec 2017
A’Levels finally ended and I went to watch LIVE netball match for the second time with my sissy and her boyfriend.

SG won against Ireland (41 - 60) and won bronze.
